Zack Lozier plays trumpet and lives in Minneapolis, MN.

Zack first picked up the horn in the 5th grade. While growing up in his hometown of Milwaukee he was graciously tutored by trumpeters Jeff Pietrangelo, Bob Lindsay, Mike Plog, Al Johnson, Mike Betz and on one occasion Brian Lynch. Zack graduated from the Milwaukee High School of the Arts acclaimed jazz program in 1997 (Cliff Gribble, Dir.). During his studies there he attended master classes by and met Clark Terry, Barry Harris, Joe Henderson, Wynton Marsalis, Joshua Redmond, Roy Hargrove, Nicholas Payton, Eddie Palmieri and many more. In 1996, Zack as part of the MHSA Jazz Lab Combo won a "Down Beat Magazine - Outstanding Performance Award". While at the University of Minnesota he had the great privilege to study with Phil Hey, Dr. David Baldwin, Dr. Ron McCurdy, Gary Raynor, Kelly Rossum, Dean Sorenson and others. Zack now holds a BA in English Literature from the U (2002).
